Creating Positive Health offers solutions to the problem of physician ill-being

Lectures

Engaging and interactive discussion of topics related to physicians’ health, positive health, resilience, professionalism, medical education, and positive psychology. This is a practical way to introduce the ideas of positive health and other areas of expertise to an institution.

Appreciative practice assessment

A one-day visit for information-gathering purposes, followed by a communication session, including suggestions for capitalizing on strengths and moving forward in a positive direction. This is generally done with a group or institution desiring to move forward in areas of perceived problems or weaknesses related to physicians, housestaff, students, or caregiving staff.

Curriculum design and curriculum offerings

Creating Positive Health specializes in the education of physicians in positive health, resilience, professionalism, and a thriving personal and professional life. This is done at all training and practice levels, from curricula for first-year medical students to CME for physicians in practice. Due to the high rate of physician ill-being worldwide, which begins as early as the first year of medical school, Creating Positive Health advocates this curriculum as a necessary part of educating all doctors, beginning as early in the medical education process as possible.
